Last year at this time, large swaths of the country were covered in snow–record amounts of snow, in some cases.  This year, some of these same parts of the country are enjoying a long sunny stretch of Indian Summer.

Several of this week’s Seasonal Flower Alliance submissions reflect these differences.

I love how many of this week’s submissions illustrate the fact that just because Jack Frost has visited, doesn’t mean you have to stop celebrating the seasons as part of the Seasonal Flower Alliance.  One easy way to play along is by sharing any  seasonal foliage and foraged botanical elements you may find or discover in your area.  If you haven’t yet submitted one of the 13,000+ posts to the Seasonal Flower Alliance, I invite you to join in the fun and share what’s in season where you live.

To participate, simply tag photos of seasonal flowers and any fun finds from your fields, gardens or local farmers market and add a caption which includes the #seasonalfloweralliance hashtag over on Instagram. Each week I highlight a few of my favorite posts here on the blog.
