Answers To Your Questions

Everything You Need To Know About Floret’s Flower Arranging Workshop

What is the registration period for the Flower Arranging Workshop?

Enrollment in the 2025 Flower Arranging Workshop will be open April 21–25, 2025. Be sure to add your name to our waitlist to be notified.

What is the format of the workshop?

The course includes more than 70 videos on a password-protected site, a 220-page printed course book mailed to students, plus downloadable templates and guides that can be customized to your specific needs. Once the workshop kicks off, we release all of the videos at once and take questions from students that will be answered through a handful of Q&A sessions that will be shared at a later date. As a student, you’re also invited to join the Learning Community, a private discussion group within the course where you can connect with other students from around the world.

My schedule is very busy and I have a lot going on. Will I need to log in at a specific time? What if I fall behind?

If you have a busy schedule, not to worry. You can work through the material at your own pace whenever you like. There is no specific time you need to log in to access the workshop content—it’s available whenever you are. Students have lifetime access to the course and will also receive any new videos or course book additions that are added in the future.

Is the workshop right for me if I don’t have much design experience?

This course was designed to meet the needs of budding and established designers with various levels of experience. Each technique is broken down into a series of simple steps that you can follow along and mimic as your skills and confidence grow. The great thing about this course being video-based is that you can go back and watch the tutorials as many times as you need in order to master the different design techniques that we teach.

I have a background in floral design. Will the workshop be too basic for me?

For experienced designers, our natural garden-inspired approach can provide a fresh perspective that will enhance your existing skills. We dive deep into foam-free mechanics, local flower sourcing (including growing your own), and working with a wide range of unique and unexpected materials that can be found close to home.

Does the workshop cover wedding and event design?

The workshop includes comprehensive instruction on the most common arrangements found at weddings and events, including bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, wearable flowers such as boutonnieres, corsages, flower crowns, centerpieces, and large statement pieces, along with other decor used to enhance the venue. We also cover business aspects specific to weddings including pricing, proposals, planning timelines, client communication, time management and efficiency techniques, and packaging and delivery.

How is this course different from your Flower Farming Workshop?

Our online farming workshop covers everything you need to know to start and grow a small-scale flower farm. In that program, we cover harvesting techniques, post-harvest handling, and how to make a market bouquet, but it does not include any floral design instruction. This program is solely focused on arranging seasonal flowers and what you need to know to start a small design business or add design services to an existing flower farm. If you are a flower farmer who has taken our farming workshop and would like to add design services or wedding and event flowers to your offering, we created this course specifically for you.

Will I need special supplies or tools for the workshop?

You’ll need a few basic tools to get started including a pair of snips, a few buckets, some vases, and of course flowers. Over time, and depending on your particular goals, you’ll discover what tools you need to add to your collection. We provide a complete supply list and our recommended sources in the course materials along with discounts and coupons from many of our favorite vendors.

What is the timeline for the Flower Arranging Workshop?

Shortly after registration is closed, we will ship the printed course material out to students which should arrive before class begins. In late May, we will release the complete course, including all of the videos and accompanying digital material at once. After students have a chance to work through the material, we will host a handful of Q&A sessions diving into the most common questions about the course material. Students have lifetime access to the course and will also receive any new videos or course book additions that are added in the future.

Can I purchase the learning modules or the printed course book separately?

The Flower Arranging Workshop has ten core modules, a printed 220-page course book, and numerous digital planning tools and guides that together create a complete course. Individual modules or materials are not available à la carte.

Does access to the Flower Arranging Workshop expire?

Students have lifetime access to the course and will also receive any new videos or course book additions that are added in the future.
